All of my 7th and 8th grade students work on this altar for Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. Students in my beginning classes picked a person who had passed away and made a drawing with images representing that person and overlaid a drawing of that person's face on a piece of plastic over that drawing. Students in my advanced class picked a person who had passed away and made a skeleton of them and put them in a box that represents them. Then all students helped make paper marigold flowers and papel picado to decorate the altar. It looks fantastic!
